Las Vegas New Amusement Park

The section of land across the street from Mandalay Bay will soon be filled.. with a “new amusement park” in Las Vegas! Developers are planning on building an entertainment and retail district, which will of course include rides, on  9.6 acres of land across from Mandalay Bay. The propose for the development was submitted by Desert Land LLC and Desert Oasis Investments LLC, run by David Gaffin and Howard Bulloch. They own over 3o acres of land accross from Mandalay, including the nearly 10 they plan on using for the “new amusement park in las vegas”.

“I commend you for thinking like this and trying to provide a venue that will not only bring people from out-of-state, but from out of the country,” – Susan Brager – Country Comission Chairwoman

The idea of bringing more ‘family friendly’ attractions of Las Vegas are thought to be a great idea.
The New Las Vegas Amusement park (yet to be named) is expected to have up to 7 rides (roller coasters etc), and will also feature a large ‘ferris wheel’. The 500 foot “Sky-Wheel”, will be the 3rd largest in the world, and could carry 40, 12 by 18 feet gondolas that would hold 20-25 guests each. Unfortunately for the new las vegas amusement park, Caesars Entertainment is currently planning their own observation wheel… a 550-foot one. This will be a part of the new “project linq” which is being built next to the Flamingo.

The Developers for the amusement park in las vegas are going to do the build in two phases. The first phase will start with a 200-foot ‘sky-wheel’, and six amusement rides. This will hopefully help generate some buzz around the new amusement park while the massive 500-foot wheel is being built over 18 months.

To compete with the Caesars Entertainment Project Linq – developers are also hoping to build a 21,000 square foot convention center, and a nearly 140,000 square foot venue for retail, restaurants and shows.

We know Las Vegas needs a new exciting development, and that’s why we are willing to do this on our very valuable Strip land – Bulluch
